Join the historical walking tour and learn the stories behind each cabin at Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek. Former owners, Gary and Mary Garland along with MaryLou Todd, granddaughter of original homesteader Frank Todd, share their family stories and the history of our seventeen cabins. On this tour, you will learn which cabins were originally forest service ranger cabins, why one cabin was better known as the “hobbit” cabin, and which cabin is home to furniture that was built on property and inspired by Sir Winston Churchill’s backyard. Also, on this tour, you’ll learn which famous orchard women the upper cabins are named after and why the orchard manager’s favorite cabin is Blackberry. It’s a pleasure to keep this history alive and hope that during your stay, you will create your own unforgettable memories to share with generations to come.
