Description

DESCRIPTION

Embark on a journey through time at Pinnacles National Park, an incredible day hike destination situated east of the Salinas Valley. Its unique landscape was formed 23 million years ago by volcanic eruptions, flows, and slides. The park’s name originates from the eroded remnants of an extinct volcano’s western half, which shifted 150 miles from its original location on the San Andreas Fault.

Our day hike/retreat will take you through diverse terrain, including flat trails, ridges, and steep rock formations. Along the way, you’ll encounter the park’s prime habitat and may spot prairie falcons, golden eagles, and California condors. The aroma of wild sage, the afternoon sun casting colorful hues on volcanic rocks, and hidden caves with waterfalls enhance the experience as we delve into the history of this unique landscape.
